May Kugan rest in peace. my condolences to the family.
Let there not be another death while suspects are in police custody.
Let there not be any more speculation regarding this case.
Let us await the disclosure of the second autopsy report in full.
– To read a cool, calm, collected and sensible appeal to “Let us accord (Kugan) some dignity as we lay him to rest….” please go here. –

Was Kugan a thief ? Has he injured or killed people ? I don’t know… That’s for us to check ….But, if the answer is yes… I don’t give a fuss of his death …. It may be better ….
How many policemen had been indicted for the death of detainees for the last 10 years? Can someone come out with the statistics?
A healthy person before enter the jail and come out in a coffin is unacceptable in this civilised world!
How long can this go on when Malaysia claimed to lead the world eg Champion of Islamic World , Champion of Third World when seem to behave like a Wild Wild East!
Time to show the world impartiality exists without color ,race, political believe, culture…
Dream one day our institution will be like USA Justice Dept without fear or favor……remains a dream until the real dream come through.
what puzzle me in Malaysia is that when an Indian criminal died in police custody , there was so much fuss from the community. There are so many Malays , Chinese, Dayaks etc criminal suspects who had died in police custody but there wasn’t so much noise. Sometimes if an Indian criminal died in a police shootout, his mother still insists that her son is not a criminal, that he was a good son, blah blah, blah and she has the support from the comunity. They always label it as racial discrimination despite the fact that there are so many Indian policemen, detectives, police chiefs , commanders etc. Now if an Indian police detective shoots an Indian criminal, he will be labelled a traitor to the community. I am not siding the police, but it is known fact that many criminals are not in the best of health especially those who are on drugs. Many of their internals organs are damaged.so a slight beating will render them fatal. But beating is part of the interogation process. Tell me which criminal want to divulge information if they are treated gentlemanly? Even Indian politicians are squeeze in the middle, if they sided the police, they will be labelled as traitors. I think we have a serious attitude problem here.
why these policemen never kill a malay rapist in the lock up cell, that rape a small young tadika malay girl in a tadika home.which is more serious?what if ur daughter being rape by this rapist, and how do u feel of this tragedy,MALAYSIAN wake up,this is not about racial sentiment.let the court gives him the punisment, not by these malay policemen killing indians etnic.
I got new slogan.
Live as car thief. Die as HERO.
Some food for thought.
When AR RAHMAN accepted his OSCAR 2009 for best original song (for Slumdog Millionaire), he said life is about choices. Between love and hate, he chose love. The audience gave a thunderous clap to that. Simple, short and powerful remarks that inscribed in our minds.
Peace.
